Table 3 description

The table has six columns. The headings are Type (of virtual team), Time, Space, Culture, Example, Challenges.

Beneath these headings are eight rows.

The first row has a type of 1, the time is different, the space is the same and the culture is different. The example is customer service team and the challenges are interaction between organisations or cultures.

The second row has a type of 2, time, space and culture are all different. The example is a global team and the challenges have been left for you to fill in.

The third row has a type of 3, time is the same but space and culture are different. The example is regional services and the challenges are again left blank.

The fourth row has a type of 4, the time is different, the space and culture are the same. The example given is of a warehouse team and the challenges are interaction between shifts.

The fifth row has a type of 5, the time and space are different and the culture is the same. The example is a multinational organisation and the challenge has been left blank for you to fill in.

The sixth row has a type of 6, the time is the same, the space is different and the culture is the same. The example is OU regional centres and the challenge is interaction at a distance.

The seventh row has a type of 7, the time, space and culture are all the same, the example is a project team and the challenge is a note that this is not a virtual team.

The eighth row has a type of 8, the time and space are the same and the culture is different. The example is a contract team and the challenge is again a note that this is not a virtual team.
