he figure is a pictorial summary of the financial services industry. At the top of the figure are the regulators: the PRA, the FCA, the Bank of England, the FPC and the Treasury. In the middle of the figure are the institutions that provide, or facilitate the provision, of financial services products: financial firms including banks, building societies and insurance companies, these feed into the exchanges and brokers and other intermediaries below. At the bottom of the figure are the product consumers – households and companies. A number of arrows are displayed in the figure showing, in summary form, the plethora of inter-relationships between these ‘players’ in the financial services industry and the transactions undertaken by them.
