There are three solid circles in a row with a circle drawn with broken lines encircling the middle solid circle and overlapping the outside circles. The circle on the right-hand side represents the charity shop and includes what the organisation ‘expects’ and ‘provides’, with arrows from each of these into the middle circle. It expects rotas to be organised to improve team efficiency and effectiveness; it provides opportunities to volunteer and to meet and work with others.

The circle on the left-hand side represents Mo and includes the words ‘provides’ and ‘expects’ again with arrows from each of these into the middle circle. Mo provides labour/help and works well with others; Mo expects to work in a team with people he likes.

The middle circle is smaller and represents the formal contract. The circle with the broken lines represents the psychological contract.
