5 Week 3 summary

This week you have looked at some different methods of citizen engagement in the design and planning of smart cities. You learned how the design thinking process can be used to co-create a smart cities project and explored living labs and crowdsourcing. You also examined ways in which smart cities can be designed to be more inclusive.

Next week you will explore smart infrastructure and the benefits and challenges of its design, construction and management. You will consider the role of open, shared and closed data in smart cities and explore some city sensing projects.
