This figure shows the findings of an experiment to identify ESBL-producing bacteria using the NDP test. The image shows two columns each containing five wells of a laboratory testing plate. The first column is labelled no antibiotic. The second column is labelled cefotaxime. Five bacterial are arrange in rows from top to bottom; E. coli wild type, E. coli CTX-M-15, K. pneumoniae TEM-3, K. pneumoniae wild type, K. pneumoniae DHA-1. All the wells are red except for the cefotaxime-treated E. coli CTX-M-15 and K. pneumoniae TEM-3 samples which are yellow.
