MARJORIE WILLIAMS
Hi. I'm Marjorie and I work on the Computing and Distribution Help Desk here at the OU. As the name suggests, there's two sides to what we do here, and between the two of these we aim to make sure that you can access your study materials. The first part of what we do is the Computing Help Desk. And working online and using computers can be really daunting for people, particularly if you're new to distance learning. So if you do have any problems accessing your module website, or submitting TMAs, or even using some of the interactive elements that are on the module websites, then you can contact us and we can help talk you through that process, guide you through, and hopefully, next time you come to that sort of an issue, you'll know what to do to fix it. The second side of the Help Desk deals with distribution, and that relates to any print materials that you might be sent out. It can be printed books, or it could be audio resources, like DVDs, that sort of thing. If you have any problems with your materials getting to you, if they arrive in bad condition or if they don't arrive at all, then you can contact us and we'll look into the matter, see what's happened, and we'll get that resolved for you. So between the two of these, all of our contact details are on StudentHome, and you can contact us by email, by phone, or by web chat. And if there are any problems and you need some help, then please do give us a call and we'll be happy to help.
Interactive feature not available in single page view (see it in standard view).
