The information about a company may be presented in different ways. For example, it might be a written press release or take the form of videos or case studies. As you have already seen in this course, this will depend on the audience, context and purpose. The newspaper article you will be reading as part of the next few activities is from the business section of a newspaper and is targeted at those interested in the business environment.
Different types of sources will present information in different ways, so it is important to understand what type of source you are looking at so you can account for these variations. Always check the dates on the sources you use because this is key to understanding the content and its context. Additionally, make sure you always date your SWOT analysis as it is a snapshot of a particular business at a particular time.
