NARRATOR:
The PROMPT checklist is a technique to help you evaluate the quality of information that you find online. P is for presentation and refers to the appearance of the website and how clearly the information is communicated. R stands for relevance. Is this website the most suitable source of information for your needs, or are there better sources available?
O represents objectivity. How likely is the website to give a balanced view of the topic covered? For instance, is it sponsored, or does the author show any bias?
[GRUNTING]
M denotes method and reminds you to question how the information was collected and whether the data is robust

And don't forget the P for provenance. You should examine the authenticity and reliability of the website. For example, is the author or organisation clearly identified and trustworthy?
And finally, T is for timeliness. It's worth checking when the information was produced and considering the risk if it's out of date. Using the PROMPT checklist will give you confidence in the quality of your sources of information.
