Hello, my name is Kestutis. I'm from Lithuania. And I am representing company Art21. And I am project coordinator in ICAERUS project.

Hello, my name is Adele. And I'm also working with the same ICAERUS project from AgriFood Lithuania site.

Art21 is a tech developer company based in Lithuania. And they started their journey 10 years ago. Mainly they are focusing in innovation projects and development of some kind of technologies. Those technologies are based for agriculture sector, for forestry sector. We started our journey focusing on agriculture sector and we collected a lot of data and knowledge. And now we see possibilities to move further to other sectors. So now we are focusing on forestry. And our next mission, next steps is oceans.

We're a digital innovation house and a cluster that brings together different stakeholders from public, private, and business sectors to launch and introduce technological and digital innovations to the rural society and farmers.

Our use case in the ICAERUS project focusing on forestry and biodiversity monitoring. So we have in our use case three different scenarios. So one is fire risk assessment, tree health monitoring, and wild boar monitoring. Those scenarios are very important for our forest engineers, for our forest managers, because it is important to them to have a very, how to say, accurate data for their activities. And based on that data, we can develop proper models which could help them to save time by doing their labours, by doing their daily tasks. And of course, it can save money for them as well. And this also closely related to the environmental monitoring and biodiversity monitoring, which is very important with the climate actions as well.

ICAERUS drones can be utilised in a wide variety of services and sectors, starting from governmental and NGOs for forestry protection and monitoring, research, and development, as well as businesses and private sector and initiatives for their own forest observation, crop monitoring, or livestock censoring.

For businesses it's very important to be aligned with certification, because if you would like to promote some kind of services or product, it is very important to have a certificate for that. And also, it is very important to be aligned with all regulation which is directly related with the European Commission and with the drone associations and other institutions.

For businesses, it is important to stay informed and keep up to date with current regulations as well as projects and opportunities to receive funding for development of new products and services that would enable to use the drones for even broader spectrum of possibilities.
