I would have been put off by the more traditional internship because of flexibility issues, especially within my industry. It was really important to actually find people who are willing to do something out of the scope of their traditional role.

KIEU HELEN WOOD:

Working in a variety of different roles, I got the opportunity to experience a lot of new things and do things I haven't done before. Therefore, I feel like I had the chance to contribute and make an impact on the company.

CLAUDIO MARTURANO:

If other employers were looking for virtual internships, I would highly recommend Open University. They managed to bring their experience and their mentality and their matureness to my organisation. And because of that, I actually feel that the organisation has actually progressed a lot faster and a lot more efficiently than it would have been if we'd have took on traditional interns.
