This is a diagram showing the principle of a power tower concentrating solar system. The diagram shows a box labelled ‘central receiver’ mounted on the top of a metal lattice tower. It is shown glowing almost white hot. A set of mirrors labelled ‘heliostats’ mounted on the ground are shown reflecting the sun's radiation and focussing it onto the receiver.
