This is an aerial photograph of two large concentrated solar thermal electricity generating plants near Seville in Spain. They are sited adjacent to each other. Each one has a tall tower and an array of several hundred heliostat mirrors mounted on the ground. They each cover an area of possibly half a kilometre square. The heliostats are spread out on the ground in a series of parabolic arcs.
