  • appreciate both shared problems and differences in the lived experience and needs of autistic people
  • discuss trends and priorities in autism research and support
  • identify wider societal issues that affect the lives of those with autism and their families
  • understand some of the priorities for autism in low resource settings.

Well done for completing the course!

Finding your badge

If you have been working towards the badge, you should now have earned it. You can find your badge in your OpenLearn Profile [Tip: hold Ctrl and click a link to open it in a new tab. (Hide tip)] , in the 'My achievements' section. Please note that the badge can take up to 24 hours after completion to appear in your profile.

If you haven't received your badge

Check your progress bar at the top of this page – has it reached 100%? If not, make sure you have visited each page of the course, and passed the badge quizzes in Weeks 4 and 8. You don't need to click back through each page to make sure – visit the Course content page which tracks your progress through the course, and see if any green ticks are missing. If you see any empty circles, the tracking system has not recorded you visiting that page. Make sure to check the ‘Overview and guidance’ section too, as this counts towards your course completion. Click through to any unvisited pages, and your progress tracker should reach 100%. Your badge will then process within 24 hours.

If you're sure you've visited every page in the course, and passed the badge quizzes in Weeks 4 and 8, get in touch at openlearn@open.ac.uk, and we will investigate further.
