2.1 Physiological changes and the effects of chronic alcohol consumption

In this section, you will take a brief look at three of the major disease states linked with chronic alcohol consumption. This is by no means a comprehensive list as excessive alcohol plays a part in a high number of diseases and conditions, as you have learned. Chronic alcohol consumption can be defined as consuming more than 14 units of alcohol per week on a regular basis.
