Week 8: Working with data and uncertainty

Introduction

This week you will consider the two main content strands of statistical thinking: working with data and understanding probability.

Statistics in the middle years at school is often associated with repetitive number-crunching methods and techniques associated with producing statistical diagrams. This week focuses on supporting learners to develop their data sense beyond these methods and techniques, through encouraging discussions around the context of data sets and the interpretation of statistical measures.
