About me
My teaching primarily focuses on leadership and management in education, but I have contributed to several of the OUs Masters in Education modules. I am co-author of four masters modules: E855 Leading professional practice in education, E856 Educational leadership: context, strategy and collaboration, EE812 Educational leadership: exploring strategy and EE813 MA Ed dissertation: leadership and management. As head of the taught postgraduate qualifications in the faculty from 2013 to 2016, I led the development of the new MA in Education qualification (F70) which started its first presentation in October 2015. I am passionate about education and development and have contributed to some of the Open University’s work in Ghana, India and Bangladesh.
My research interests are broadly in teacher/headteacher professional learning across cultures and contexts. I have written and presented academic papers in some of these areas at International conferences. Browse Eric Addae-Kyeremeh's research on Open Research Online. My current research is focused on the use of network ethnography to explore ‘informal professional learning’ of school leaders in sub-Saharan Africa.
