My OU life

Gemma Briggs OpenLearn Profile

The Open University has a wide range of formal qualifications in a variety of subject areas for you to study. You can fulfil your potential by studying at a distance with The Open University.

OU students

You may have more than one OU account, for example if you have registered for a free OU account and also have an OU student account or an OU staff member account.

When you login to OpenLearn with your OU student or alumnus account your student record achievements will appear in your OpenLearn profile, set to private by default. You will be able to choose which achievements to share in public on your profile.

We are planning to make it possible for any badges that you have earned from OpenLearn courses to be displayed in your StudentHome profile and within your Student Achievement Summary.

Are you thinking about formal study?

Don't know where to start?

An Access module is an ideal starting point if you need to develop your study skills and build your confidence. The Open University offers three Access modules that could pave the way towards a qualification with The OU.

People who have never studied at University level before usually start with an Undergraduate course. If you already have a degree, you might be interested in studying a Postgraduate course.

We offer flexible payment options for your formal studies at The Open University.
