About me

Jim is a Lecturer in Sport and Fitness at The Open University, joining the team in September 2020. He has previously held Lecturer positions in Sport Studies at University of Northampton and University of Lincoln and is also an Associate Lecturer at The OU.

Jim has been researching inequalities in sport since he began his PhD in 2004 which investigated equality policies in local English football. He has published numerous articles related to social equality, particularly related to the influence of 'race', racism and gender in sport participation.
