Kate is a Principal Lecturer in Sociology at Nottingham Trent University. Originally a medical sociologist, for the past decade she has had a research interest in how information about food is interpreted and applied. Her current and most recent work is in the sociological study of human animal relations and in particular, looking at cultural representations of nonhuman animals.
