Professional biography
Dr Peter Sheldon is a senior lecturer in earth sciences at The Open University. Dr Peter Sheldon is a senior lecturer in earth sciences at The Open University. After completing a degree at Durham, Peter went to do a PhD at Cambridge, and finished his work on 15,000 trilobite fossils whilst teaching at the University of Wales in Cardiff. After a while at Trinity College, Dublin, he returned to Cardiff in 1989 to study patterns of evolution. He joined The Open University in 1991 and is president of The Open University Geological Society.
