Biography

Rachel is Citizen Science Project Officer, School of Environment, Earth & Ecosystem Sciences (EEES), Faculty of Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM), supporting citizen science, biodiversity, environmental communication, STEM education, public engagement, impact and related activities. Rachel has 25 years’ experience in the education, training, and legal sector, having worked at the OU for 12 years, so is proudly also sharing this with iSpot’s 12th Anniversary. Her work at the OU has focused on supporting students on module, qualification and career guidance, student’s lifelong learning journeys across a range of disciplines and staff training in Student Services, broadening her project support and public engagement activities within the STEM Faculty, particularly within the areas of the scholarship of teaching and learning, (eSTEeM)citizen science, biodiversity (www.iSpotnature.org). environmental and STEM communication and education.
