Dr Susan Fawssett
Susan Fawssett has been a central academic at the OU, but now works as an associate lecturer and consultant. She has written units for many OU modules, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level and across faculties. She has also produced learning materials for external organisations such as the BBC, Oxfam and Save the Children.
Susan did her doctorate at the London School of Economics in International Relations undertaking fieldwork in Tanzania, and regularly visits Kenya and Uganda to teach. She has been awarded three OU Teaching Awards in 2009, 2011 and 2020 for her outstanding contribution to student learning and consistently excellent teaching.
