Biography
I graduated from University in 1966 with a BSc in Chemistry. In 1968 obtained MCIC status with the Chemical Institute of Canada, satisfying qualifications as a professional chemist. Worked for several Chemical Companies as a Professional Chemist. Experienced Chemistry starting in analytical methods of analysis and progressed to Marketing Chemicals to a broad list of chemical industries, worldwide.
Upon retirement I developed a strong interest in Astrochemistry and find this a wonderful opportunity to broaden my knowlwedge in a rapidly expanding discipline.
We currently reside in a small City about 50 Km outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Regretably we fall under the light dome of Greater Toronto and must travel 100 Km east in order to see a dark sky. This, coupled with our cold weather, and infrequent clear skies, allows for very little telescope activity.
Fortuneately for OU and NASA and ESO I am able to study the heavens in a manner that is most rewarding and satisfying.
