There are current awareness campaigns in mainly developed countries, originating from many quarters, ranging from the government to health charities as well as via celebrity chefs, which try to improve the food that children and young people eat. Both of these initiatives aim to avoid future health problems, whether they are cardiovascular and/or related to obesity. Both help practically by improving current health and by educating children to opt for healthier diets and lifestyles as they grow.
