4 Gas exchange

In this section, you will examine the chemical changes that underlie exchange of O2 and CO2 between peripheral tissues and the lungs. You will also learn about genetic mutations of haemoglobin and how the body senses and responds to changes in O2 and CO2 levels to maintain homeostasis.
