1.9.3 URL short-cut

To get quickly to any web page, put a shortcut on your desktop in one of these ways.

  1. Arrange your browser window so that you can also see your desktop.

    • Point at the URL, then click and hold down your mouse button.

    • Still holding down the mouse button, drag across to the desktop and let go.

OR, if you are working in Internet Explorer

  1. While pointing your mouse at a URL, click the right mouse button.

    • Choose Copy Shortcut from the short contextual menu that appears.

    • Left click on your PC desktop.

    • Click your right mouse button.

    • Choose Paste Shortcut from the menu that appears.

Double-click on the icon at any time to link directly to the URL. If you are not already connected to the Internet, your PC will launch a web connection and web browser.
