This video will show you how to change the tile sequence in the pattern maker. Currently, the tile sequence is up here. It’s 1, 2, 3, 4. If I go and change this to 1, 2, 2, 4, suddenly it looks like this: 1, 2, 2, 4. And it repeats: 1, 2, 2, 4; 1, 2, 2, 4, et cetera. So, you can change this to be five-long, so we can have it 1, 2, 2, 4, 3. And let’s press Play.

So, suddenly we have quite an interesting sequence: 1, 2, 2, 4, 3; 1, 2, 2, 4, 3; 1, 2, 2, 4, 3. As you can see, this particular sequence actually extends across some of these rosettes and starts creating these quite interesting patterns. So, you can see, for example, the twos here are creating this diagonal pattern and the threes are creating this diagonal pattern.

So, by changing this tile sequence, you control which tiles are being displayed in the sequence, the order, but also how they’re displayed within the rosette. So, by playing with them, you can create some quite complicated patterns.
