Well, we actually run a returners programme. So we're actually looking for people who do have that career break. But if you aren't lucky enough to be able to apply for a returners programme, from my perspective, it's about being straightforward and clear, so that the recruiter knows that you've either been employed – you may have done temporary work during that period of time.

But there is a positive around being very explicit, that you took time off for caring responsibilities, for example, or you moved location, so that people understand the gap in your CV. But you may have been involved in charity work or voluntary work. So again, that is important to actually understand how people have filled that time. But people don't have to falsely fill that time.
