To manage your privacy settings in LinkedIn, go to your picture in the top right-hand of the page, and go down to the word Manage next to Privacy Settings. Click on the link.

In the page that appears, near the bottom, select Choose whether or not to share your profile edits. When you click on this option, a pop-up box appears. Make sure this box is unticked so that your profile updates don't appear to people as you're making many of them when you're first setting up your profile.
