The picture shows a bird’s-eye view of an area of a city with north at the top. There are twelve or so blocks of buildings and open space with roads running horizontally and vertically between them in a grid pattern.

The horizontal roads run diagonally across the picture from south-west to north-east. The vertical roads run from north-west to south-east.

Buildings are represented as cuboids of varying dimensions. Some buildings are oriented with their longest sides running south-west to north-east, others run north-west to south-east. Shadows are visible on the ground on the north-west side of each building.

Some buildings have open space to the south-east while others are surrounded by other buildings.
