So what scale are we talking about? How serious is this really?
DAME SALLY DAVIES:
I've described an apocalyptic scenario where you could go in for the little operation I had earlier this week to release a nerve in my hand, get an infection, but that antibiotics don't work, and I die of it, or a hip replacement. Let alone cancer patients who won't be treatable, and will die early in their treatments, and organ transplants-- kidneys, for instance-- where we may not be able to do them. It is a very serious issue for mankind.
