The brain contains extremely dense networks of neurons, which are highly interconnected. A single neuron will receive signals from thousands of others. Each neuron integrates all the incoming information and then passes it on to many other neurons. The result is that there is simultaneous processing of a vast amount of information in the brain at any given moment.
