1 Understanding the power of businesses and corporations
You have looked at power and how you can influence people and institutions in power, as an individual or as part of a group. This week, you will learn about ‘corporate power’ (this was introduced by Johal et al., 2014). Corporate power is the power to shape and influence the public narrative and, public policy by extension (Johal et al., 2014, p. 403).
