Now it’s your chance to have a go at managing African oil resources in this interactive game which lets you take on the role of the Minister of Finance of a small African country that has recently discovered oil. You have a number of priorities and a range of choices, but these are not easy and come with trade-offs and what we term ‘opportunity costs’. Hopefully, by the end of this short game you will appreciate that the choices facing African governments are complex and constrained and that there are no easy answers about how to manage Africa’s oil.
