Why is identity important and how are identities formed? This free course, Identity in question, looks at the many different ways in which identity can be categorised. By examining the requirements of the state, how a child views gender, and the importance of race or place of birth, you will start to understand how each individual can have more than one identity.

Interesting course. In parts it appears a little dated. Personally I feel this is down to the fact that, despite the best efforts of people over many years, the 'class'-system looms ever present. Perhaps recent discoveries around the abilities, (or lack thereof), in those elected to Govern, will reduce the notion that money and post codes define us all.

Feels a little dated in places, but the information is clear and it's interesting to read through an academic text again. Worth the few hours it took to read.
