Colour photograph. Central to this image is a white, abandoned house, situated on a road descending the hillside. The house has no roof, although the walls and windows remain intact. To the left of the photograph is a bank of earth that borders the road. From this bank protrude the charred, black remains of burnt shrubs. The landscape behind the abandoned dwelling is a mixture of olive plantation and Mediterranean vegetation.
