A forward thinking and dynamic housing organisation. The owner and landlord of around 13,700 homes across the borough. Run by a board of directors comprising six elected tenant members, four council members and three independent advisors".

It was initiated by a non-governmental organisation/charity and encourages people to participate through a mutual co-operative. Rochdale Boroughwide Housing is local in orientation and concerned with housing and public services.

It was launched in March 2012 and is ongoing.
