Simpl challenges logo Copyrighted image Icon Copyright: Simpl Challenges Simpl Challenges are "events with a goal. They bring together organisations and innovators to make ideas happen [...] Each Simpl challenge is based around a question, typically related to a social issue. People like you then submit ideas to the challenge question. The best ideas are taken to a challenge event where ideas owners collaborate with others to start making them happen. People running challenges often award prizes to teams with winning ideas - this can be money, resource based support, or a mix of the two".

It was initiated by government, designers & developers and researchers, scientists & educators and encourages people to participate through an online platform and special events. Simpl Challenges is local in orientation and concerned with neighbourhood & community and public services

It was launched in 2010 and is ongoing.

This page is part of Participation Now, a project that brings together a diverse collection of participatory public engagement initiatives with the aim of supporting exploration, learning and engagement. Explore the collection of initiatives or read more about the project.
