The Ragged Project logo The Ragged Project describes itself as a project that "aims to provide a platform for the free exchange of knowledge and skills in social spaces. It is about getting people who love what they do to share knowledge and skills in an informal setting so we can all enjoy it".

It was initiated by researchers, scientists & educators and encourages people to participate through research & learning. The Ragged Project is national in orientation and concerned with education and research, knowledge production & information access.

It was launched in 2010 and is ongoing.
