The Rules logo Copyrighted image Icon Copyright: The Rules /The Rules describes itself as "a global movement to bring power back to people, to change the rules that perpetuate poverty and inequality" which "will mobilize the world’s majority through pioneering new inclusive organizing tools such as mobile networks to address crucial structural issues such as land rights, tax justice and climate change".

It was initiated by social movement activists and encourages people to participate through an online platform and organising & campaigning. /The Rules is global in orientation and concerned with economy, environment & sustainability, anti-discrimination, equality & social justice, health, international development.

It was launched in November 2012 and is ongoing.
