This week's BBC Inside Science explores cosmology and the age of the Universe. 

In BBC Inside Science, Adam Rutherford and guests illuminate the mysteries and challenge the controversies behind the science that's changing our world.

On this week's programme:

The BBC Inside Science team visit Diamond Light this week, which works like a giant microscope, harnessing the power of electrons to produce bright light that scientists can use to study anything from fossils to jet engines to viruses and vaccines.
This week's show will also look at Planck and cosmology, a paper about the hunting strategies of goshawks, another about the effects of ocean acidification on mussel shell growth, and obituaries of Charles Townes and Carl Djerassi.
