His travels take him to Shropshire, and the market town of Ludlow; Devon, where Totnes is striving to become a transition town; Scarborough in Yorkshire; and Perth in Scotland.

Each place has its own unique character, and a distinct blend of history. Join Nicholas as he discovers how the typical British town is anything but.

Town with Nicholas Crane was first shown on BBC Two in July 2011. The whole series is being shown on the Blighty Channel, non-stop, from 11am on September 2nd 2012.
