HAND HYGIENE
“Clean care for all - it's in your hands” –WHO (2019)
Most health care-associated infections are preventable through good hand hygiene i.e cleaning hands at the right times and in the right way.
WHO Guidelines on hand hygiene in health care support hand hygiene promotion and improvement in health care facilities
Hand hygiene generally refer to hand washing, hand rubbing (e.g., using an alcohol-based hand rub), or surgical hand antisepsis
It is a simple but important procedure, yet its importance is often overlooked..
It protects the patient, health care workers, and the health care environment from being contaminated by microorganisms that could be harmful pathogens.
This user- and patient-centred approach aims for ease of use and integration into the natural workflow of health care professions.
Just to recap if you take of care of Patients!!!
