There is a publication authorisation step now on the platform which means when you decide to publish your course, a message will be sent to the openlearncreate@open.ac.uk mailbox for the platform managers to check the course is actually ready for publication.

Publication - feedback and authorisation

To trigger the message to the mailbox about your request to publish the course, you do the following:

  1. Go to Edit settings
  2. Scroll down to bottom of the form and check both the declarations, then change the status checkbox from draft to published
  3. Click on Save and display to save the new setting

The message will be delivered to the mailbox and we will check through your course and send you a message about what might still need to be configured before your course can be approved for publication. Therefore, please do not assume that your course will be authorised for publication immediately.
