Adapting to working from home

1. Working from home

You may find yourself in a position where you are asked to work remotely or in a 'hybrid' pattern, either temporarily or full-time. This can feel daunting but try to imagine this as similar to the self-led study elements of your degree. Ask yourself what has motivated you day to day to meet your goals before. Perhaps it’s a few minutes of your favourite show or music, or some time outside getting fresh air.

Think about your workspace and the equipment you already have and may need. Your company may provide you with a laptop or may ask you to use your own with systems in place like a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Although you are unlikely to be expected to use your own device for extended periods of time be mindful of any costs to yourself and whether you can work successfully in these conditions.
