week 2 activity 4

I see myself as someone who influences others, a motivator, a mentor and finally a peacemaker in the position I presently hold.

I have learnt this behaviour and working practice through experience and mistakes in previous positions I have held but I also feel comfortable working this way and seeing myself this way.

I believe in fairness and to be listened to. I don't know where this came from maybe from some childhood experiences but I value these and see them as important in leadership and collaborative leadership. I believe in values and keep to these if I can. this attitude and behaviour shows others a way of working together.

Hi Anita

Your response to this activity is really interesting in that it highlights how roles in the present are influenced by your personal and professional experiences in the past.  I wonder if they are also influenced by the current context in which you work, and if so what is significant in that context for shaping your leadership roles.

Hi Carol

Thank you for your feedback. My views are also influenced by current context in my work as the hospice as recently implemented values across the organisation. These values sort of cement what I already apply to leadership.
