Evidence comprises of Data, Information and Knowledge: Data is descrete pieces of evidence with little or no meaning attached to it. Example: 200,000 migrants. Information is data with meaning attached to it in a contextual manner. Example: 200,000 Chinese migrants have arrived in Africa over the past 5 years. Knowledge is the application of data and information practically or theoretically. Example: Over 200,000 Chinese migrants are embedded in the construction sector in Africa as a result of China funding infrastructural developent in the continent.
