Photos- Rules and Guidelines
It’s important to realise that the rights of children are universal and that children that you encounter on project have the same rights as those you meet in the UK. This includes the right to privacy.
This is why we do not allow volunteers to post pictures on their personal social media of children from SKIP projects- please respect this rule.
You can take photos of children's faces for branch publicity but you must have written consent from a parent or guardian (your collaborating organisation should be able to help with this)
However, you can be creative with photos that publicise SKIP without showing any faces of children- check out the previous winners of our photo competition!
Ask you branch, branch buddy or the the child protection trustee lead for more information if your unsure!
