Section 4: The Universe

universe

Our Universe is all spacetime and everything in it: planets, stars, galaxies and the space in between.  What we can see when we look up at the sky is only a tiny fraction of the contents of our Universe.  As we develop better and better telescopes, we can observe more of what our Universe contains.

Scientists agree there is a possibility that there may be many different universes, with different physical laws and different types of matter.  We currently have no way of seeing whether this is true but it is a common concept in science fiction films.

In this section we will be looking at how our Universe formed and what it contains.
