      Welcome to this e-learning course on Energy Access Explorer (EAE), an online, open-source, interactive, geospatial platform that enables users to identify high priority areas where energy access can be expanded.

      Upon completing this course, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the EAE platform, encompassing both its backend infrastructure and front-end interface. This will allow you to comprehensively navigate, manage, and utilize the platform, enhancing your ability to leverage its geospatial capabilities for informed decision-making and successful energy access intervention.

    • Course learning outcomes

      As a result of studying this course, you will be able to:

      • Describe basic concepts of integrated energy planning with EAE
      • List different datasets that are used in geospatial energy planning using EAE
      • Describe the different methods in GIS that are used to prepare datasets for visualization, storage, and analysis in EAE
      • Conduct a multi-criteria decision analysis in EAE, and validate and communicate the results
      • Upload and configure datasets in EAE backend
      • Understand the data governance and sustainability plan of EAE
